About the Role

Our team of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinicians is committed to helping children with autism and related disorders reach their fullest potential through home and clinic-based services.

Developmental Specialty Partners is looking for Students who are interested in completing their Internship hours for their Undergraduate program. This internship position offers valuable hands-on experience in child development, therapy planning, and program implementation.


Available Positions:

  • Unpaid Internship – Behavior Technician (two-quarter commitment)

  • Paid Internship – Behavior Technician (one-year commitment)

Location: 4051 Broad Street, Suite 110, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401


Responsibilities:

  • Implement ABA programs that focus on decreasing maladaptive behaviors and increasing social, communication, and adaptive skills under the direction of a Supervisor

  • Engage in play-based activities and therapeutic interventions to support the social and emotional development of children with autism

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a positive and nurturing environment

  • Collecting data daily and maintaining client databook(s)

  • Completing all Behavior Analyst Intern Checklist Items within the time provided, including training, assessments, and competencies

Requirements

Applicant must have:


  • Passion for child development, education, and creating a nurturing learning environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Pursuing or completing a degree in psychology, education, or a related field

  • Background check clearance and up-to-date immunizations may be required

  • Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
