Meet the Team
Maya Bettencourt
Maya Bettencourt has been working in the field of Special Education for over 12 years with an emphasis on behavior analysis. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University in 2005 and is also a credentialed School Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She has spent the majority of her career in the public school system conducting assessments, developing individualized and class-wide programs, and providing training to parents and staff of children ranging in age from birth to 22 years old. Throughout her career, Maya has served on countless IEP teams with the aim of incorporating Applied Behavior Analysis into educational programming for students with autism and other disabilities.
Haider Shahid
Haider is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with a vision for tech-forward behavioral healthcare. He completed his medical school education at West Virginia University where he developed an interest in general psychiatry. Following his med-school training, he pursued his interests further by completing a psychiatric residency at the University of South Florida followed by a sub-specialization in the field of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. His clinical interests include neurodevelopmental disorders, depression, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. His focus is to integrate a psychotherapeutic, lifestyle, and medication management approach to provide patients with an evidenced-based treatment plan to optimize their mental and physical well-being.
Misty Stingley
Misty has been working in the field of Speech-Language Pathology for over 16 years with an emphasis on Early Intervention. Misty
received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, Fresno. She is an ASHA-certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for over 15 years. Misty has experience working with children and adults of all ages in a variety of settings including hospitals, public schools, preschool centers, and homes. Her areas of interest and special training include working in early intervention and preschool-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, phonological disorders, and hearing impairments, including those with cochlear implants.
Misty has attended specialized training and continued education courses including Professional Preparation in Cochlear Implants(PPCI), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), PROMPT training, Hanen training, and Picture Exchange Communication (PECS) training Level 1 and 2.
Bilal Haq
Bilal is a healthcare professional with a background in corporate strategy and investment in innovation. Prior to founding DSP Health, Bilal led investment and integration of discrete care models in a variety of healthcare specialties. He draws on experience investing in promising healthcare and pharmaceutical technology innovation at a range of platforms, from Fortune 200 Healthcare to pre-revenue healthcare services platforms. Bilal serves in advisory roles with healthcare companies including Genix Therapeutics and American Tele-Physicians. He holds a Masters degree in Biomedical Science from Drexel College of Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Villanova University.
